Self-Checkout Kiosk
Kiosk system deployed across multiple co-operative societies.
A self-checkout kiosk system rolled out to multiple co-operative retail branches, replacing manual queues at low-value transactions where speed and clarity matter more than a full lane staff.
Designed with full UML modelling and integrated with pre-existing ASP.NET point-of-sale backends without disrupting live operations. Inventory and payment handoff talk to the systems stores already trusted.
The UX is touch-first: barcode input, quantity edits, and a payment handoff that cashiers and shoppers can follow without training manuals. Branches needed identical behavior with local configuration, not one-off forks.
Delivery used Agile practices and a streamlined CI/CD pipeline so multi-branch rollout stayed repeatable. The project is a case study in modernizing retail edges while respecting legacy cores that cannot be rewritten overnight.
